Games, they're fun right? There are games for everybody: girls, guys, teens, kids and adults. Games could be educational, could be solely for entertainment, could be a platform to tell an amazing story, games could also be a waste of time, apparently.

This topic has been discussed time and time again, isn't gaming a big waste of time? Well my answer is, of course, hell no. I've always been very fond of video games ever since I was a kid but my parents only let me play during the weekends because games are "unimportant", so life as a kid was constantly waiting for weekends. As a person who grew alongside video games I'm here to say gaming is not a waste of time. Each game is* specially created to entertain a specific target audience/s in mind. Same as music, fictional books, movies, and TV shows right? Why can't games be regarded in the same light as these things? I don't know, so let me tell the reasons why I love games and hope you'll love them too or at least change the way you look at video games.

Video Games are interactive storybooks. For me whose imagination is as strong as a dining room table, I'm not very fond of reading. Luckily for me, RPGs exist but Shaun what are these "RPG" things you speak of? You dork. Well an RPG according to Wikipedia is "a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting." (thanks Wikipedia). RPGs don't just tell you the story, they let you experience the story yourself. So, why read a book or watch a show about a main character's life when you can be THE main character in an RPG?(not telling you to give up on books, k?).

Games strengthen the mind. Many researches have already proven that games improve some aspects of a person's mind. Now one might argue "Games only rot the mind"well, anything too much can rot the mind.

Games strengthen your personality(maybe). Some games like League of Legends and DOTA 2, to name a few, encourages teamwork, cooperation, attentiveness, and all those good stuff. Although sometimes, you'll encounter toxic people, actually scratch that YOU'LL ALWAYS ENCOUNTER A DOUCHEBAG IN ONLINE GAMES that will just make you ASDFGHJKLJSYXNAGFKSHRNXP*TA UGGGHHH

Games are fun and time you had fun wasting is not wasted time - I live by that motto lol.
